At LAIDBACK, our philosophy has always been about taking life easy and curating good vibes only. But we’ve come to realise that the truest form of comfort isn’t just in the relaxed fit of a favourite tee—it’s in the feeling of belonging!
But the more we thought about what makes us feel truly relaxed and at peace, the more we realized it often comes back to a specific geography. True comfort is deeply tied to our roots—the places that shaped our stories and let us be our most authentic selves.

This is the heart behind our upcoming release: the CiTEE Collection. We wanted to explore the profound, sometimes complicated, but always enduring love affairs we have with the cities we call home.

When we looked at Kolkata we saw a place where a five-minute walk transports you through a century of art, heritage, and the unmatched, chaotic euphoria of Pujo. We looked at Hyderabad and wanted to capture its vibrant, everyday comic culture, where centuries-old history and bustling modernity share a single, colourful lane. And of course, Chennai—a city of absolute maasu energy, where deep-rooted cultural pride and cinematic reverence are worn proudly on the sleeve.
These tees are love letters to those inside jokes, the local slang, and the distinct flavours that only a true resident understands.
